Speak to Your Mountains.

Have you ever had to go through something extremely tough on your own? Have you had to fight cancer, or go through divorce, or maybe it's everyday life, you feel alone (even though you might be surrounded with friends). Some of you today maybe facing a storm in your life. I know there are a lot of pressures in this world we're living in. But I would like to reveal a few things to help you get THROUGH that storm (notice I didn't say "out" but "through").

Mark 11:23-24 says, 23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you .have received it, and it will be yours."

Now, does this mean Jesus is a supernatural Santa Claus and He'll give us whatever we ask? NO! But He gives us the authority to speak to the difficulties before us and to trust Him. Have you ever read the book of Job? Never did Job curse God, but Job waited on the Lord to bring him out. I believe that's a word for some one right there. But my question for you today is what are you saying in the midst of your storm. Proverbs 18:21 says, "21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." So what you say during your storm, in your storm, will effect how you live through the storm. Whether it is positive or negative the attitude you have about your storm will effect how quickly you get through it. It's been said, "Don't talk about the problem, talk about the solution." We need to trust God and speak to that mountain.

Remember the story of David and Goliath? Did David wait for the giant to kill him? No! The little Shepard boy attacked the seasoned warrior saying, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." We must speak to our mountains! I will leave you with this, we should pray to the Lord expecting Him to move our mountains. What do your prayers sound like? May God bless you today.

Are You Hurting Today?

Johnny Cash - Hurt

I hurt myself today, to see if I still feel. I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole the old familiar sting try to kill it all away but I remember everything.
What have I become? My sweetest friend, everyone I know, goes away in the end.
You could have it all, my empire of dirt. I will let you down, I will make you hurt.
I wear my crown of thorns, sit on my liar's chair. Full of broken thoughts, I cannot repair. Beneath the stains of time. The feeling disappears, you are someone else, and I am still right here.
What have I become? My sweetest friend, everyone I know, goes away in the end. You could have it all, my empire of dirt. I will let you down, I will make you hurt.
If I could start again a million miles away, I would keep myself, I would find a way.

Are you hurting today?
The devil tries to fill our minds up with doubt. He promises us the world, like he did Jesus in Matthew Chapter 4. But like Jesus we need to keep our minds fixed on God's everlasting love. We all have experiance some type of pain or hurt in our lives and we need to remember that Jesus is still in control. I don't know the pain you might be feeling today, but I do know that there is HOPE in Jesus Christ. I speak from experiance today, there's no one in this world that loves me like Jesus. He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. I would like to invite you to your local church. Find a BIBLE BELIEVING church and connect with people who have experianced God in a real way. God bless you, give your burdens to the Lord and leave them there.

A Fuel Explosion!!!

Here @ Fuel we have experienced a tremendous growth spurt during the months of January and February. We went from 250 students before the "Christmas break" to 350 in a matter of weeks since January 12th 2007 we have averaged 325 student on Friday nights. I don't know what to say but God is good. Just wait it gets better. . .

Since the beginning of the year, because of the evangelistic youth ministry that we are, we have had 105 students ask Jesus to forgive them of the sins and to come into their life. And 14 students Baptized!!! Praise the Lord for His love endures forever! (and to every generation)
I know some of you might be thinking I'm bragging. . .you're right GOD IS AWESOME!!!
If you can't get excited about that something is wrong with ya!

My Prayer: God I praise you for the work you're doing here in Fuel Student Ministries and @ Emmanuel Wesleyan Church even when we are unworthy to present Your message you allow us to be a part of your Holy plan, and to that I say thank you. Help me to share your joy every where I go, with everyone the I talk too, to everyone I meet. May your praise always be on my lips! Amen

Third Day & Crowder Concert

October 26th - Third Day Concert w/ David Crowder and Hyper Static Union.

It was an awesome time! We took about 15 people from the youth group. It was a great night of worship, and it was fun just to get together and have fun!!!

It was awesome to see the kids worshipping in a different setting. What an encouragement to see our kids lifting up praise and worship to the King of Kings!

80's Strikes Back

This past Friday we had 80's night. I asked the kids to dress up like it was the 1980's. Even though most of these kids weren't even born until the 90's, we still had a lot of kids strut their "right stuff." We had Run DMC, Madonna, Tiffany, Alice Cooper, and even a few New Kids. Check out our pics.
